Act of Acceptance of the New Safe Confinement at ChNPP was signed

Act of Acceptance of the New Safe Confinement at ChNPP was signed on July 10, 2019. The NSC commissioning demonstrated that a large-scale project has been successfully implemented, and construction of the unique technological structure which has no analogues in the world has been completed. This facility provides a reliable protection of the humanity and environment from the impact caused by destroyed power unit No. 4 of the ChNPP.

Twenty-eight countries of the world have joined their financial efforts, the best engineering and technical solutions have been applied, and about 500 companies and organizations from Ukraine and other countries were involved to implement this project.

The JSC KIEP made a significant contribution in the implementation of this unique project and it was highly appreciated. The SSE ChNPP invited us for a solemn event dedicated to completion of the NSC construction works with awarding, which took place at ChNPP on August 6, 2019.

The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone Administration and the SSE ChNPP Directorate expressed their gratitude for the significant contribution made by JSC KIEP and its partners from the KSK Consortium: ISP NPP and the SE “The State Research Institute of Building Structures” and other key Ukrainian companies and organizations that facilitated a successful completion of the NSC construction works.
